Sports Injury Prevention
Smarter, Safer Training
Good baseball and softball training starts with learning how to move the right way. Caleb emphasizes proper warm-ups and stretching for injury prevention, along with mobility, proper form and sound mechanics as part of his 1-on-1 hitting, pitching, and fielding (defensive) training.
Players start with the fundamentals and progress at a pace appropriate for their age, ability and goals. For young athletes especially, the focus isn’t simply on throwing harder or swinging harder, it’s on developing strong movement patterns, proper mechanics and good training habits that support long-term development and safer play.

What equipment does a player need to bring to a mobile lesson with Coach Caleb?
Players should always bring their own baseball glove, as well as any personal gear they love using, like their own bat, helmet, or batting gloves. Coach Caleb believes a player’s relationship with their glove is incredibly personal, almost like a pet, and breaking in and caring for your own leather is a huge part of loving the game.

Coach Caleb always travels with a full setup of high-end training basics, including extra bats, training balls, and a backup glove. He is more than happy to let beginners test out his loaner gear during their first sessions before giving you a personalized recommendation on the exact size, brand, and model of glove or bat to buy for your age and skill level.

What is your weather policy for outdoor mobile baseball lessons?
We closely monitor local conditions to ensure a safe, high-quality training environment, and we will happily reschedule your session if hazardous weather arises. While we always try our best to run our 1-on-1 lessons outside in great baseball weather, your player's safety is our top priority. If a session faces a threat of lightning, intense rain that makes bats and balls too slippery to grip, or muddy fields that could cause a dangerous ankle sprain, we will contact you to reschedule for a clear day.
Alternatively, if you prefer not to wait for a reschedule, we are always happy to pivot the lesson to an indoor sports facility or a sheltered local batting cage space. Coach Caleb is highly adaptable and will work with you to make sure your player never misses out on their development due to a passing Bay Area storm.
